Texas specific initial medical license requirements

Texas State Board of Medical Examiners requirements:
  • 1 year of postgraduate training. 2 years for IMGs.
  • Up to 3 attempts at each USMLE Step or COMLEX Level exam.
  • 7 years to complete USMLE/COMPLEX. Up to 10 years if MD/PhD waiver.
  • Accepts Federation Credentials Verification Service.
