Notes and additional requirements: The applicant must know to read and speak both Spanish and English. Prior to the start of his/her dermatology residency, the resident should have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited first year of post-graduate medical education (PGY-I) on a broad discipline such as internal medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, family medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology, general surgery or a rotational/transitional internship. Under unusual circumstances, training in other clinical disciplines may be accepted as a first post-graduate year.
