Notes and additional requirements: USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK are required. Applicants who have failed any USMLE step examination are less likely to be granted interviews. Active clinical experience in a U.S. or Canadian medical school or teaching hospital is not required. The program does not have a firm limit on the number of years since medical school graduation, with clinical activity and maintained clinical skills considered for applicants further from graduation. IMGs must be ECFMG certified by the time the program submits its rank list. The program sponsors J-1 visas and does not consider H-1B or F-1 visas appropriate for resident training. Program signaling and geographic preference may improve the likelihood of an interview but do not affect the eventual rank list.
