Notes and additional requirements: We welcome inquiries from highly motivated candidates who have completed one of the following in residency programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education: two years of pediatric training; one year of internal medicine and one year of pediatric training; one year of pediatrics plus one year of basic neuroscience training. The residency program director will base preliminary selections on academic credentials: USMLE parts I and II percentile score of 80 or higher, or equivalent for osteopathic medical students or Canadian examination (LMCC parts I and II); at least three letters of recommendation; personal statement demonstrating interest in child neurology training. Foreign medical school graduates also must have: hands-on experience training in a North American clinical setting is highly desirable; excellent oral and written skills in English; Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate.
