Notes and additional requirements: USMLE/COMLEX steps I and II (and step III for H-1B Visa candidates) before beginning residency. Candidates who have failed one of the USMLE/COMLEX Step exams are usually not chosen for an interview. We prefer to interview candidates who have graduated from medical school within the last 5 years. Exceptions may occasionally be granted for individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to further education by achieving a masters or doctoral degree.For international medical school graduates, we prefer, but do not require previous US experience.
