Notes and additional requirements: At least one letter of recommendation should be from a family physician. Applicants with a combined total of more than two failures on Steps I and II of the USMLE exam are less likely to be considered for our program. If out of medical school more than a year, applicants must demonstrate efforts to keep up with the changes in medicine. United States medical system experience is required, including familiarity with pharmaceutical and insurance systems. Applicants who are ECFMG certified at time of application are more likely to be considered for an interview. We will consider sponsoring J visas with compelling applications, especially if the candidate can demonstrate ties to the community.
