Notes and additional requirements: At least three letters of recommendation from faculty members with whom the applicant has worked, and at least one from a neurosurgeon. Does not require a letter from the applicant’s department chair. U.S. clinical experience is not required; however, neurosurgery electives and/or experience are preferred. For international medical graduates, U.S. clinical experience is strongly recommended including neurosurgery electives and/or other clinical experiences.
