Eligible applicants will be invited to complete a secondary application. As you submit your secondary, don’t forget to ensure you've also submitted letters of recommendation through the AMCAS letter service.
Requirements notes:
The Admissions Committee at WSUSOM requires a minimum of three (3) letters of recommendation with your secondary application. Strongly recommended at least two (2) letters from faculty members at the university/college. At least one (1) letter (from any writer) must have been written within the past year. Letters more than three (3) years old will not be considered. Must be U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, a Canadian citizen or any student who has completed a degree at Wayne State University, regardless of citizenship.
GPA, MCAT notes:
GPA five-year average (Classes 2024-28) 3.78. The Admissions Committee at Wayne State University School of Medicine requires an MCAT taken within the four years prior to application year in which applicant is applying. We consider the highest MCAT in the decision-making process. We do not superscore MCAT examinations (e.g., we don't take the highest score from each section).
