Selected applicants will be notified by email and provided with a link to the school’s secondary application.
Requirements notes:
We require a minimum of three letters but recommend four to seven. At least one recommendation should come from a science or math faculty member. Letters from a medical professional and a research mentor are strongly recommended. A pre-health advisor letter packet and/or committee letter may also be submitted.
GPA, MCAT notes:
Candidates need a current MCAT with a combined score of a 504 or above and a competitive undergraduate GPA to be considered for a secondary application invitation. Applicants with a 501-503 MCAT score and who have an undergraduate GPA of 3.7 supported by an extremely competitive portfolio of experiences may qualify for a secondary application. MCAT tests considered for the application cycle will be those taken between January, 3 years ago and October 1, 1 year ago.
Deadlines notes:
The VTCSOM primary application deadline is December 1. The VTCSOM secondary application deadline is December 15.
