Admission process notes:
Campuses in Kansas City, Salina and Wichita, students have a unique opportunity to choose not only their location but also the focus of their studies. Applications selected for further consideration in all programs (Early Decision, Regular Decision, and MD/PhD) will receive an invitation to complete the online KUMC Supplemental Application. Applicants who are Kansas residents or who meet one of the above “Kansas tie” designations will be given priority review for an interview invitation.
Requirements notes:
You need between three and five letters of recommendation submitted on your behalf. (We strongly recommend five letters.) The School of Medicine strongly desires all letters to be transmitted to us via the AMCAS letter service.
GPA, MCAT notes:
We accept MCAT scores for tests taken up to three years prior to the date of entry to medical school. We do not consider applications with MCAT scores of 496 or below. hose who have a minimum of a score of 502 on the MCAT and a 3.4 BCPM GPA and no red flags on the remainder of their application will be automatically offered an interview.
Deadlines notes:
Applicants to the Early Decision Program (EDP) should test no later than mid-July. For the entering class, the last MCAT test date for the applicants is July 12. The last MCAT test date accepted for regular decision applicants is September 13. We invite selected applicants for an interview. We conduct interviews in two- or three-day blocks each month from September (for EDP) through January.
