Admission process notes:
Upon notification from AMCAS that an applicant has applied to the UAMS College of Medicine, we send each applicant a supplemental/secondary application.
Requirements notes:
If your school does not have a PMAC or if it has been more than two years since you last graduated/attended your school, you must have three faculty members familiar with your academic performance to submit individual letters of recommendation to AMCAS Letters. In addition to the mandatory academic letter(s), you may have up to three individuals submit “personal” letters of recommendation that address your qualifications outside the classroom.
GPA, MCAT notes:
Arkansas Resident Applicants must have achieved a score of 502 or greater on the Medical College Admission Test. Non-Arkansas Resident Applicants must score a 508 or greater total MCAT score to be invited to complete the UAMS secondary application and be invited for a faculty interview. Students must take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), with the oldest exam accepted no more than three years prior to the year of planned matriculation.
Deadlines notes:
All applicants invited to complete the UAMS secondary application and be invited for an interview must call the UAMS College of Medicine Admissions Office at 501-686-5354 after August 15 but by no later than November 1 to schedule a faculty interview. November 15 Deadline for all applicants to submit the UAMS COM Supplemental Application.
