1)Complete the Texas Medical & Dental Schools Application Service (TMDSAS) online application.
2)Complete the SHSU-COM Supplemental Application
3) Complete your Acuity Insights Assessments (Casper & Duet). All assessments are required.

Requirements notes:
The Admissions Committee prefers a Health Professions Committee Packet (HPCP) or Health Professions Evaluation (HPE). If you do not have an advising office, we will also accept a minimum of three letters of evaluation in lieu of a HPCP or HPE.

GPA, MCAT notes:
SHSU-COM follows a holistic review process. This means we do not have a minimum MCAT or GPA requirement and we consider all parts of the application equally when making the decision to invite candidates for an interview.

May 1 - TMDSAS Application Opens
May 15 - TMDSAS applications begin transmitting and SHSU-COM supplemental application opens
July/August - Interviewing begins
October 15 - TMDSAS pre-match offer period begins
November 1 (5:00 pm CST) - TMDSAS Application Deadline
December 1 (5:00 pm CST) - SHSU-COM Supplemental Application Closes*
January 31 (11:59 pm CST) - TMDSAS pre-match offer period ends
February - TMDSAS Match results announced
