Admission process notes:
After your primary application (AMCAS) has been verified, you will receive our secondary application. Our Secondary Application is emailed to all applicants, beginning in July. Applicants who are currently enrolled in a one-year master’s degree program may contact our office to request a delayed review of your application until fall semester’s grades are released. This does not negatively impact your application. Deadline to submit a request is Sept 15.
Requirements notes:
A letter packet from a pre-medical committee is preferred. If your college/university does not offer a committee letter, please submit a minimum of two (2) letters. There is a maximum of five (5) letters that can be submitted.
GPA, MCAT notes:
A highly competitive application will have a BCPM GPA of 3.6 or higher. A non-competitive applicant will have a BCPM GPA of 3.0 or lower. Only MCAT scores from the three years prior to matriculation will be considered.
Deadlines notes:
Sept. 15: Deadline to submit Petition for Delayed Review of Application (for participants in one-year master’s degree programs). Dec. 15: Deadline for Secondary Application (11:59 p.m. EST – no exceptions) with $140 Application Fee, and Recommendation Letters received by AMCAS.
Tuition fees notes:
Students who graduate from the GEMS or SMP programs before matriculating to GUSOM receive a reduced tuition and fee rate for their M1 year. Tuition and fees for SMP graduates are $66,849, while GEMS graduates pay $63,557.
