Requirements notes:
There are two options for required letters: EITHER Three individual letters two clinical experiences references, preferably from a physician or another member of a clinical team who can speak to your patient facing experiences AND one professional/academic reference (can be from an individual who has taught you coursework for a grade, provided research mentorship, employer, advisor, or other non-family individual). OR One letter from the Pre-Medical Advisory Committee at your undergraduate school, plus one letter from clinical experience (preferably from a physician or another member of a clinical team who can speak to your patient facing experiences).
GPA, MCAT notes:
The minimum MCAT for in-state applicants is 500. The minimum science undergraduate GPA for in-state applicants is 3.0. The minimum MCAT for out-of-state applicants is 500. The minimum science undergraduate GPA for out-of-state applicants is 3.0. Applicants are asked to take this test in the spring, but no later than fall, of the year prior to their desired matriculation date in medical school, and to have the results sent to the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. MCAT scores older than 3 years not considered.
Deadlines notes:
All application materials, including MCAT scores must be received by October 1. Secondary application deadline – November 1. Early Decision Program AMCAS application deadline – August 1; Secondary Application Deadline – August 15.
