Notes and additional requirements: USMLE Step 2 is not required at the time of application, but we do require applicants to have passed Step 2 by Match Day. Please ensure that your Step 2 score is uploaded to ERAS as soon as it is available. Massachusetts now requires physicians to pass USMLE Steps 1 and 2CK in order to obtain a limited license to practice medicine. 3 Letters of Recommendation. Standards Letters of Recommendation (SLORs) are preferred, but narrative letters will be accepted. You may submit up to 4 letters through ERAS, but the selection committee may choose to review only 3 letters. You should explain any interruptions in your education.
