We prefer USMLE scores that are equal to or higher than the mean on the first attempt for your application to be considered. However, we also take other factors such as clinical experience and letters of reference into high consideration. Second attempts are considered on a case by case basis. H1B Visa sponsorship Update: In light of recent changes to H-1B visa sponsorship regulations, it remains unclear whether cap-exempt residency programs such as ours will be required to pay the newly proposed $100,000 H-1B filing fee. We are hopeful that residency programs like ours will ultimately be exempt from this requirement; however, formal clarification from USCIS is still pending. If no clarification is available by the time rank order lists are due, our program will proceed with sponsoring only J-1 visas for the upcoming recruitment cycle.
