Notes and additional requirements: Successful completion of the USMLE Step 3 is part of the requirement for the H-1b visa, as well as securing a valid Illinois Temporary license in the State of Illinois. Completion of training at the medical school/residency level in the last five years preferred. We prefer USMLE scores that are equal to or higher than the mean on the first attempt for your application to be considered. However, we also take other factors such as clinical experience and letters of reference into high consideration. Second attempts are considered on a case by case basis.
