ECFMG certification by the time of interview is helpful but not required. USMLE/COMLEX must be passed on the first attempt. No minimum USMLE score, but matched candidates typically score >220. H-1B sponsorship requires ECFMG certification and passing USMLE Step 3 by the Match result for eligible categorical candidates.
