Notes and additional requirements: We do not require specific USMLE scores for admittance to residency. What we do require is that you have passed the USMLE Step 1 (on first or second attempt) and Step 2 CK on your first attempt. We do not require Step 3 as long as you’re well within Alabama’s 7 year time limit for completing the licensing examination sequence. We prefer prior clinical experience and/or letters of recommendation from clinicians working in the US or US-licensed physicians abroad. Do not accept EADs. Graduates of medical universities excluded by the Alabama Medical Licensure Board will not be considered. Alabama Medical Licensure Board Requirements”.
