Notes and additional requirements: To be eligible for an appointment at the Preventive Medicine-1 (PM-1) level, residents must have successfully completed at least 12 months of clinical education in a residency program that satisfies the requirements in the preceding bullet. Resident experience must include at least 10 months of direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
