Notes and additional requirements: Step 1, 2 required to be eligible for ranking. At least three clinical letters of recommendation based on experience (not longer than three years ago) in the U.S. or the U.K. A medical school dean’s letter (MSPE) and at least three clinical letters of recommendation required. Submit at least one letter of recommendation, which must reflect your U.S. primary care clinical experience. Have a minimum of 900 hours U.S. clinical hours included on application. Most of this must be hands-on experience. Some observation/shadowing will be accepted. Research experience will not be counted as clinical experience. Clinical experience from the U.S., Canada, U.K., or equivalent will be accepted. Primary care in the outpatient and inpatient setting is recommended. Family medicine (or one of its componenents) is recommended.
