Notes and additional requirements: Passing score on USMLE Step 2 CK or COMLEX-USA Level 2-CE must be on the initial residency application to be considered. Graduation date may be extended to 2 years for candidates who are actively pursuing an additional advanced degree or active duty military service. IMGs must have 1) graduated within the past two years from a medical school that is recognized and approved by the Tennessee State Board of Medical Examiners, 2) actively pursuing an advanced degree, or 3) actively engaged in clinical practice outside of the U.S.; Total time to graduate from medical school not more than 7 years concurrently. Those pursuing an advanced degree or currently engaged in active clinical practice outside of the U.S. must not be more than 5 years post-graduation from medical school.
