Applicants must provide a Dean’s letter, plus 3 letters of recommendation (at least 2 strong letters of recommendation from Internal Medicine faculty with whom the applicant has worked in a clinical setting). We do not require an applicant to be ECFMG certified at the time of the application or interview. We use a holistic approach to application review so we look at all scores. The average USMLE step 1 score for our current 3-year residents is 222.
